Recipe: Hemp Chocolate Protein Bars

Vegan - Gluten-free - Organic - Sugar-free - Paleo - Primal - Bulletproof

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup hemp protein powder
  • 1/4 cup almond butter
  • 1/4 cup coconut butter
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp coconut flour
  • 1 tbsp almond flour
  • 2 tbsp ground flaxseed
  • 6 dates, pitted
  • 1 bar unsweetened chocolate (I used Thrive Organics brand)

Directions:

  1. Blend dates with coconut oil and coconut butter in a food processor until dates are a paste
  2. Add all other ingredients to food processor
  3. Line a baking sheet or baking pan with wax paper
  4. Melt the chocolate on low heat in a saucepan over the stove
  5. Pour melted chocolate in a thin layer over wax paper
  6. Add protein bar paste on top of chocolate and smoosh down with your hands or a spoon to create a flat layer
  7. Put bars in the freezer for at least 20 mins before eating
  8. Cut into squares
  9. Store in fridge
