Recipe: Hemp Chocolate Protein Bars
Vegan - Gluten-free - Organic - Sugar-free - Paleo - Primal - Bulletproof
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup hemp protein powder
- 1/4 cup almond butter
- 1/4 cup coconut butter
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 tbsp coconut flour
- 1 tbsp almond flour
- 2 tbsp ground flaxseed
- 6 dates, pitted
- 1 bar unsweetened chocolate (I used Thrive Organics brand)
Directions:
- Blend dates with coconut oil and coconut butter in a food processor until dates are a paste
- Add all other ingredients to
food processor - Line a baking sheet or baking pan with wax paper
- Melt the chocolate on low heat in a saucepan over the stove
- Pour melted chocolate in a thin layer over wax paper
- Add protein bar paste on top of chocolate and smoosh down with your hands or a spoon to create a flat layer
- Put bars in the freezer for at least 20 mins before eating
- Cut into squares
- Store in fridge
