Cinnamon Butter Coffee (sugar-free)

This is the coffee style that was originated by Dave Asprey called “Bulletproof”. It should be noted that Dave went off the conspiracy deep end during the pandemic and so his health advice should be taken with a grain of salt.

However, I drank a lot of Butter Coffee my first few years of quitting sugar and it really helped me personally!

Healthline has a blog to review: 3 Potential Downsides of Bulletproof Coffee.

Ingredients:

  • A cup of hot black coffee

  • 1 tablespoon high-quality unsalted butter (Kerry Gold or a locally made butter, for example)

  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil or MCT oil

  • Cinnamon to taste

  • A pinch of stevia

Directions:

  • Blend all ingredients until frothy

This style of coffee worked well when I first quit sugar because it meant I could start my morning without a carb rush and the stevia satisfied my craving for something sweet. It’s fun to make and experiment with—adding different spices.
