Recipe: Shredded Brussels Sprouts with Bacon

 Gluten-free - Paleo - Primal - Bulletproof

Ingredients:

  • 1 bag shaved brussels sprouts from Trader Joe's or 10 oz of brussels sprouts, shredded in a food processor
  • 1 package of bacon (it's usually not sugar free but don't sweat it--it's a small amount. I have heard tale of sugar free bacon--it exists.)
  • 21 Seasoning Salute from Trader Joe's or your favorite seasoning blend--non salt ones work the best because bacon is already very salty

Directions:

  • preheat oven to 375F
  • chop the bacon into small pieces then fry in a frying pan until it's done to your liking, stiring frequently
  • shred brussels sprouts in a food processor and put in a 9x13" baking dish
  • add bacon, some bacon grease, and spices to the brussels sprouts and stir thoroughly
  • bake 40-45 minutes or until brussels sprouts are soft and top is lightly browned
